Why Mozilla?

Mozilla Corporation is a non-profit-backed technology company that has helped shape the internet for the better over the past 25 years. We’re the makers of Firefox, the privacy-focused web browser used by more than 225 million people around the world each month. As we look to the future, we’re working to shape the next 25 years of the internet—one that’s built for people, not just for profit.

Mozilla Corporation is wholly owned by the 501(c) non-profit Mozilla Foundation, meaning we’re accountable not to shareholders, but to our mission. Alongside thousands of contributors and collaborators around the world, Mozillians design, build, and maintain open-source software that empowers people to use the internet on their own terms.

We’re now seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer (DACH) to support the growth of Firefox Enterprise across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. This is a highly customer-facing technical role focused on helping enterprises evaluate, validate, and deploy Firefox Enterprise in secure, complex, and regulated environments.

The ideal candidate brings deep technical credibility, strong enterprise architecture experience, and a passion for helping customers solve real-world security, deployment, and interoperability challenges.

What you'll do:
  • Partner with Sales to support strategic enterprise opportunities across DACH.
  • Lead technical discovery and solution design with customers and partners.
  • Run workshops with customer stakeholders across security, infrastructure, IAM, endpoint management, and workplace technology.
  • Own the relationship to the customer’s technical counterparts during and after the sales process.
  • Help customers evaluate Firefox Enterprise in areas such as deployment, policy management, identity integration, logging, security controls, and operational fit.
  • Design and support pilots, proofs of concept, and rollout plans.
  • Advise customers on deployment models, architecture decisions, and integration approaches for enterprise environments.
  • Validate interoperability across systems such as SSO, MFA, SIEM, proxy/network controls, endpoint tooling, certificates/PKI, and browser policy frameworks.
  • Identify and help resolve technical risks early, including application compatibility, certificate handling, deployment complexity, and policy enforcement requirements.
  • Create reusable technical assets such as reference architectures, deployment guidance, validation plans, and technical enablement materials.
  • Support and enable partners involved in deployment, integration, and customer success.
  • Champion Mozilla’s values of openness, trust, and user agency in every customer interaction.
What you'll bring:
  • Significant experience (7+ years) in a senior Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Security Architect, or Technical Account Manager role.
  • Ideally deep knowledge of the DACH IT landscape, particularly within the public sector, financial services, or KRITIS (Critical Infrastructure) operators .
  • Strong background in enterprise security, endpoint management, browser security, Zero Trust, IAM, or digital workplace infrastructure.
  • Hands-on knowledge of:
    • Windows enterprise deployment
    • GPO / MDM / policy management
    • certificates / PKI / TLS / proxies
    • SSO / MFA / IdP integrations
    • SIEM / DLP / CASB ecosystems
    • Kubernetes / Helm for customer-operated environments
  • Experience supporting pilots, technical evaluations, or enterprise deployments in complex customer environments.
  • Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into technical configurations and sales evidence.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both technical teams and senior customer stakeholders.
  • Comfort working across ambiguity and helping customers move from evaluation to deployment with confidence.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Native-level fluency in German

What you'll get

  • A highly competitive base salary, plus a high-impact, performance-driven sales bonus plan.
  • Rich medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Generous retirement contributions with 100% immediate vesting (regardless of whether you contribute)
  • Quarterly all-company wellness days where everyone takes a pause together
  • Country specific holidays plus a day off for your birthday
  • One-time home office stipend
  • Annual professional development budget
  • Quarterly well-being stipend
  • Considerable paid parental leave
  • Employee referral bonus program
  • Other benefits (life/AD&D, disability, EAP, etc. - varies by country)

How to apply

The Apply button opens Mozilla's own application page in a new browser tab — applying is free, and this board never sits between you and the employer: no middleman, no form of ours to fill first.

This posting runs on Greenhouse, the applicant tracking system behind many employers' careers pages — you'll apply on Mozilla's job board at job-boards.greenhouse.io. Greenhouse follows a standard sequence: contact details, a résumé/CV upload, and the custom questions this employer added for the role. Work-authorization questions appear on most remote postings — where you are legally allowed to work — so have that answer ready before you start. Some postings add a cover-letter field; when it is optional, the listing's own requirements above tell you whether writing one would genuinely help. The final Submit button sits at the bottom of the employer's own page, and Greenhouse sends a confirmation email once your application is in — if it does not arrive within a few minutes, check the spam folder.

Before you start

Tailor your résumé to the skills this listing names — employers screen for the requirements they wrote.
Have your work-authorization details ready — citizenship, visas, and right-to-work countries come up on remote applications.
Check the employer's page for a pay range before naming a number — if they publish one, anchor to it.

Quick answers

Is this job still open?
Yes. Listings on this board are re-verified 4 times a day and auto-expire 45 days after posting — if this page is visible, the role was open at the last check.
Where does the Apply button go?
Straight to Mozilla's own application page — never a middleman. Every listing here comes from the employer's own job board, so the Apply button simply opens their page in a new tab.
Does it require experience?
The employer tags this role as lead level — the requirements above spell out what that means in practice.
Is the salary listed?
No — this employer didn't publish a salary range for this role. Their own application page is the place to check for pay details.
