Senior Product Manager, Billing & Marketplaces

ClickHouseDevOps & Infrastructure

Job Description

ClickHouse Cloud, the fully managed version of the open source ClickHouse database, is available on AWS, GCP, and Azure. Customers can purchase directly from ClickHouse or through the cloud marketplaces. Billing is how every ClickHouse product reaches customers and shows up in our financials. As we add new products and new ways to buy, we are investing in our billing platform to scale with them. As Senior Product Manager for Billing and Marketplaces, you will own a key area of that work and report to the Director of Product Management, Billing and Marketplaces.

You Will

  • Own the roadmap, execution, and launches for a key area of billing or marketplaces (for example metering and pricing, prepaid commit, or a cloud marketplace), working alongside engineering leads, Finance, and Sales Ops.
  • Scope features with engineering, turn them into a clear near-term roadmap, and track them through to launch.
  • Improve our prepaid commit capabilities, including customer-specific rate cards, contract changes and rollovers, customer-facing balance visibility, and spend alerts.
  • Drive our cloud marketplace integrations across AWS, GCP, and Azure, including private offers, usage reporting, and subscription linking.
  • Improve payment and collections flows, including dunning and delinquency handling, so customers are billed accurately and service is not interrupted by avoidable billing issues.
  • Lead billing launches for new products and pricing models in partnership with Product Marketing, Sales, and Support.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on how customers are billed across the company.

You Bring

  • 7+ years of product management experience, including 3+ years owning billing, metering, payments, or commercial platforms for a cloud or usage-based product.
  • Solid understanding of usage-based pricing, prepaid credits, and committed spend contracts, and how they translate into systems, invoices, and revenue.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure marketplaces, including private offers, co-sell, and metering APIs.
  • Familiarity with payments across card, invoice, and marketplace channels, including dunning and delinquency flows.
  • Working knowledge of order-to-cash, including invoicing, tax, multi-currency, and revenue recognition.
  • Experience with third-party billing and payment platforms, such as Stripe or a usage-based billing vendor.
  • A track record of independently leading complex projects across engineering, Finance, and go-to-market teams, from scoping through launch.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, including presenting trade-offs to product and engineering leadership and explaining billing concepts to non-technical audiences.

Bonus Points

  • Experience at an infrastructure, database, or developer platform company.
  • Comfortable going deep with engineers on event-driven architectures, data pipelines, and idempotency, and fluent enough in SQL to analyze billing data yourself.

How to apply

The Apply button opens ClickHouse's own application page in a new browser tab — applying is free, and this board never sits between you and the employer: no middleman, no form of ours to fill first.

This posting runs on Ashby, the applicant tracking system behind ClickHouse's job board — the form you'll see lives at jobs.ashbyhq.com. It asks for the basics first: your name, email, and a résumé/CV upload. After that come the custom questions this employer wrote for the role — Ashby lets each team tailor its application, and some postings add a short questionnaire on top, so set aside a few quiet minutes rather than a thirty-second sprint. Because the questions change per role, re-read the requirements above before you start typing; answers that echo the exact skills the listing names are the ones that survive screening. Two practical notes: apply promptly while the posting is verified live, since teams close applications once a role fills, and use one email address for the application so your details stay under one identity.

Before you start

Tailor your résumé to the skills this listing names — employers screen for the requirements they wrote.
Have your work-authorization details ready — citizenship, visas, and right-to-work countries come up on remote applications.
Use the listed range ($175k to $265k) as your anchor in salary talk — the employer published it, so it is a fair opening number.

Salary context

The listed range of $175k to $265k a year sits about 14% above the board-wide median for DevOps & Infrastructure roles on this board.

That median is $157,250 to $231,000 a year, based on 119 live listings where the employer publishes an annual USD range — the same rules as the board's salary report.

The parsed benefits on this listing include Stock Options / Equity and Home Office Budget, so total compensation can extend beyond this base range.

Quick answers

Is this job still open?

Does it require experience?
The employer tags this role as executive level — the requirements above spell out what that means in practice.
Is the salary listed?
Yes — the employer publishes an annual range for this role: $175k to $265k.
