You'll report to the Senior Accounting Manager and partner closely with the broader Finance team and teams across the company.

The ideal candidate brings a strong public accounting foundation and is excited to help scale the finance function at a fast-growing company building the reliable infrastructure behind today's leading AI applications.

What You'll Do

• Own key areas of the month-end close, such as stock-based compensation, leases, and investments, including journal entries and supporting schedules.

• Lead revenue accounting work, including customer contract reviews, oversight of automated revenue schedules and journal entries, and deferred revenue reconciliations.

• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and flux analysis.

• Support preparation of our year-end financial statements and footnote disclosures.

• Prepare audit schedules and support the annual audit.

• CPA strongly preferred

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP

• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills

• Curiosity and hands-on experience using AI tools to work more efficiently, such as drafting reconciliations, analyzing variances, or automating repetitive tasks

• Clear communicator who takes ownership, improves processes, and is comfortable in a fast-changing environment

Nice to Have

• Exposure to SOX and internal controls in a public or public-company-ready environment

• Experience with Rillet, NetSuite, or another modern ERP

• SaaS or usage-based revenue experience

• Experience designing or implementing AI-assisted or automated accounting workflows

How to apply

The Apply button opens Temporal's own application page in a new browser tab — applying is free, and this board never sits between you and the employer: no middleman, no form of ours to fill first.

This posting runs on Ashby, the applicant tracking system behind Temporal's job board — the form you'll see lives at jobs.ashbyhq.com. It asks for the basics first: your name, email, and a résumé/CV upload. After that come the custom questions this employer wrote for the role — Ashby lets each team tailor its application, and some postings add a short questionnaire on top, so set aside a few quiet minutes rather than a thirty-second sprint. Because the questions change per role, re-read the requirements above before you start typing; answers that echo the exact skills the listing names are the ones that survive screening. Two practical notes: apply promptly while the posting is verified live, since teams close applications once a role fills, and use one email address for the application so your details stay under one identity.

Before you start

Tailor your résumé to the skills this listing names — employers screen for the requirements they wrote.
Have your work-authorization details ready — citizenship, visas, and right-to-work countries come up on remote applications.
Use the listed range ($96k to $157k) as your anchor in salary talk — the employer published it, so it is a fair opening number.

Salary context

The listed range of $96k to $157k a year sits about 8% below the board-wide median for Finance & Accounting roles on this board.

That median is $123,000 to $157,250 a year, based on 18 live listings where the employer publishes an annual USD range — the same rules as the board's salary report.

Quick answers

Is this job still open?

Does it require experience?
The employer tags this role as senior level — the requirements above spell out what that means in practice.
Is the salary listed?
Yes — the employer publishes an annual range for this role: $96k to $157k.
