CuraiOperations

Job Description

At Curai, we believe that access to high-quality healthcare is a fundamental human right, not a privilege. Our mission is to radically transform healthcare by harnessing the power of artificial intelligence and clinical expertise to make care more affordable, accessible, and effective for everyone.

About the 1099 Physician Role

We're hiring for a 1099 Contracted Physician to join Curai Health's growing clinical care team. In this fully remote role, you'll deliver high-quality, patient-centered, virtual-first primary care to patients across the United States through video visits, live chats and secure messaging — all supported by Curai's advanced AI-powered clinical technology and proprietary electronic medical records (EMR) system. If you're a physician who's passionate about expanding access to care and excited about practicing at the intersection of medicine and technology, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

As a 1099 contract physician, your clinical responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Conducting comprehensive virtual assessments, diagnoses, and evidence-based treatment for patients across various ages and backgrounds through text-based, and video visits
  • Managing and coordinating care for chronic conditions
  • Providing preventive care, wellness counseling, and health education to promote holistic well-being
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and lab results
  • Prescribing medications in accordance with state and federal regulations
  • Handling referrals and prior authorizations
  • Accurately and thoroughly documenting tasks and communications in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Completing compliance tasks in a timely manner
  • Maintaining compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality standards
  • Producing clear and efficient encounter visit notes that showcase strong medical decision-making, comprehensive differential diagnoses, and relevant, well-structured care plans

What You'l Bring

  • A Board-certified physician (MD or DO) degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine required
  • At least 5 years of primary care experience, including adults and pediatrics
  • Active, unrestricted physician licenses in a minimum of 15 states, including:
  • At least 2 of the following: California, Texas, or Florida
  • Preference given to candidates with active licenses in: California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, or Washington
  • At least 1 year of remote work experience preferred
  • Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and patient engagement skills
  • A self-motivated and independent work style, with a strong capacity for teamwork and collaboration
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage your time effectively in a remote work environment
  • Adaptability to evolving technology, including AI-driven tools and digital platforms

How to apply

The Apply button opens Curai's own application page in a new browser tab — applying is free, and this board never sits between you and the employer: no middleman, no form of ours to fill first.

This posting runs on Lever, the applicant tracking system this employer's job board is built on — you'll apply on Curai's posting at jobs.lever.co. Lever keeps applications quick: upload a résumé/CV file or autofill your details from LinkedIn, then answer the custom questions this employer added for the role. The questions are short but specific to the position, so skim the requirements above first — echoing the exact skills the listing names makes the screening cut easier to clear. Because the form itself is deliberately short, the résumé you attach does most of the talking, so make sure it mirrors those requirements. Once you submit, Lever confirms by email and your application goes straight into Curai's hiring pipeline.

Before you start

Tailor your résumé to the skills this listing names — employers screen for the requirements they wrote.
Have your work-authorization details ready — citizenship, visas, and right-to-work countries come up on remote applications.
Use the listed range ($229k to $281k) as your anchor in salary talk — the employer published it, so it is a fair opening number.
