Executive Assistant / Senior Executive Assistant to the Co-founder

RunwayOperations

Job Description

We are building AI to simulate the world through merging art and science.
We believe that world models are at the frontier of progress in artificial intelligence. Language models alone won’t solve the world’s hardest problems – robotics, disease, scientific discovery. Real progress requires models that experience the world and learn from their mistakes, the same way that humans do. And this kind of trial and error can be massively accelerated when done in simulation, rather than in the real world.
World models offer the most clear path to general-purpose simulation, changing how stories are told, how scientific progress is made and how the next frontiers of humanity are reached.

Our team consists of creative, open minded, caring and ambitious people who are determined to change the world. We aspire to continuously build impossible things and our ability to do so relies on building an incredible team. If you are driven to do the same, we'd love to hear from you.

About the role

*Open to candidates based near our NYC office or those willing to relocate.

We are looking for a highly skilled, proactive Executive Assistant to support one of our Co-founders. This is a high impact, high visibility role for someone who thrives in a fast moving environment, takes ownership, and brings a solutions oriented perspective to every challenge.

You’ll be the operational backbone supporting a core part of our Executive Team, anticipating needs before they arise, managing complex logistics and calendaring, and ensuring our Co-founder can focus on what matters most.

What you’ll do

  • Proactively manage calendars and task priorities, primarily through Google Calendar
  • Schedule and coordinate internal and external meeting and event logistics
  • Support planning and execution of VIP-facing meetings whether that be with customers, executive prospects, candidates, and/or investors
  • Assist with special projects as needed, to include coordination for international expansion, proactively anticipating needs and exercising good judgement with minimal direction
  • Review, edit and submit monthly expense reimbursement reports
  • Coordinate travel as needed
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with executives and colleagues

What you’ll need

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience in executive administrative support, coordination, Chief of Staff role or similar
  • Experience supporting C-suite executives or a founder/Co-founder in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex calendars and travel
  • Prior investor relations support experience
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and Slack
  • Highly organized with a proactive, anticipatory mindset- you solve problems before they surface
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and juggle multiple urgent tasks simultaneously with speed and accuracy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills- you’re polished and professional in all interactions
  • Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to operate with discretion

Runway strives to recruit and retain exceptional talent from diverse backgrounds while ensuring pay equity for our team. Our salary ranges are based on competitive market rates for our size, stage and industry, and salary is just one part of the overall compensation package we provide.

There are many factors that go into salary determinations, including relevant experience, skill level and qualifications assessed during the interview process, and maintaining internal equity with peers on the team. The range shared below is a general expectation for the function as posted, but we are also open to considering candidates who may be more or less experienced than outlined in the job description. In this case, we will communicate any updates in the expected salary range.

Lastly, the provided range is the expected salary for candidates in the U.S. Outside of those regions, there may be a change in the range, which again, will be communicated to candidates.

How to apply

The Apply button opens Runway's own application page in a new browser tab — applying is free, and this board never sits between you and the employer: no middleman, no form of ours to fill first.

This posting runs on Ashby, the applicant tracking system behind Runway's job board — the form you'll see lives at jobs.ashbyhq.com. It asks for the basics first: your name, email, and a résumé/CV upload. After that come the custom questions this employer wrote for the role — Ashby lets each team tailor its application, and some postings add a short questionnaire on top, so set aside a few quiet minutes rather than a thirty-second sprint. Because the questions change per role, re-read the requirements above before you start typing; answers that echo the exact skills the listing names are the ones that survive screening. Two practical notes: apply promptly while the posting is verified live, since teams close applications once a role fills, and use one email address for the application so your details stay under one identity.

Before you start

Tailor your résumé to the skills this listing names — employers screen for the requirements they wrote.
Have your work-authorization details ready — citizenship, visas, and right-to-work countries come up on remote applications.
Use the listed range ($110k to $170k) as your anchor in salary talk — the employer published it, so it is a fair opening number.

Salary context

The listed range of $110k to $170k a year sits about 25% below the board-wide median for Operations roles on this board.

That median is $151,000 to $215,000 a year, based on 104 live listings where the employer publishes an annual USD range — the same rules as the board's salary report.

The parsed benefits on this listing include Stock Options / Equity, so total compensation can extend beyond this base range.

Quick answers

Is this job still open?
Yes. Listings on this board are re-verified 4 times a day and auto-expire 45 days after posting — if this page is visible, the role was open at the last check.
Where does the Apply button go?
Straight to Runway's own application page — never a middleman. Every listing here comes from the employer's own job board, so the Apply button simply opens their page in a new tab.
Does it require experience?
The employer tags this role as senior level — the requirements above spell out what that means in practice.
Is the salary listed?
Yes — the employer publishes an annual range for this role: $110k to $170k.
