ICEYEDevOps & Infrastructure

Job Description

Role highlights

  • IT Infrastructure Lead

  • Location: Espoo
  • Department: IT
  • Reports to: Head of IT
  • Employment type: Permanent
  • Workplace model: Onsite
  • Employment is subject to applicable security screening (incl. SUPO, where required)

Why this role matters

ICEYE's satellites are built on infrastructure this team runs, and ICEYE’s business is fully reliant on the availability of this infrastructure. As the IT Infrastructure Lead, you'll lead a team of 7 across Finland and Poland that owns our networks, data centres, office setups and manufacturing IT. We operate in 10+ countries, and your mandate is to turn a setup that grew fast into one consolidated, secure and scalable foundation, in an environment shaped by defence and national security requirements. It's a role for a leader who can set direction, stay hands-on, and adapt quickly as the business grows.

Who We Are

ICEYE is the world leader in sovereign intelligence from space. We deliver persistent monitoring capabilities to detect and respond to changes in any location on Earth.

ICEYE owns the world's largest and most advanced SAR (synthetic aperture radar) satellite constellation. To our customers we provide intelligence with unmatched quality, latency and revisit times, in any weather, day or night. To governments who choose to operate their own constellation we provide this proven capability as a sovereign system.

ICEYE-built constellations serve customers in defence and intelligence, environmental monitoring, insurance and emergency management. We enable fast decisions that contribute to a safer future.

Founded and headquartered in Finland, ICEYE operates globally with over 1000 employees across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.

Your day-to-day responsibilities

  • Own the infrastructure strategy and roadmap across networks, data centres, offices and manufacturing IT, and give the team a consistent technical direction.
  • Lead the consolidation of our setup across 10+ countries, and build a repeatable playbook for standing up new offices and sites.
  • Secure the infrastructure: network segmentation, zero trust, classified environments, and keeping manufacturing (OT) networks separate from office IT
  • Keep things running: incident and problem management, escalation, monitoring and SLAs
  • Embed business continuity, disaster recovery, patch management and logging into how the infrastructure is built and run
  • Support security audits, accreditations and certifications
  • Work with business stakeholders, product teams and neighbouring IT teams (IT Systems, IT Support and Assets, IT Steering and Enablement) to balance priorities, compliance and speed
  • Own the infrastructure budget, manage suppliers and consultants, and contribute to quarterly financial planning
  • Lead, hire and develop a team of 7 across Finland and Poland, while staying hands-on in architecture, design reviews and critical incidents

How to apply

The Apply button opens ICEYE's own application page in a new browser tab — applying is free, and this board never sits between you and the employer: no middleman, no form of ours to fill first.

This posting runs on Ashby, the applicant tracking system behind ICEYE's job board — the form you'll see lives at jobs.ashbyhq.com. It asks for the basics first: your name, email, and a résumé/CV upload. After that come the custom questions this employer wrote for the role — Ashby lets each team tailor its application, and some postings add a short questionnaire on top, so set aside a few quiet minutes rather than a thirty-second sprint. Because the questions change per role, re-read the requirements above before you start typing; answers that echo the exact skills the listing names are the ones that survive screening. Two practical notes: apply promptly while the posting is verified live, since teams close applications once a role fills, and use one email address for the application so your details stay under one identity.

Before you start

Tailor your résumé to the skills this listing names — employers screen for the requirements they wrote.
Have your work-authorization details ready — citizenship, visas, and right-to-work countries come up on remote applications.
Check the employer's page for a pay range before naming a number — if they publish one, anchor to it.

Quick answers

Is this job still open?
Yes. Listings on this board are re-verified 4 times a day and auto-expire 45 days after posting — if this page is visible, the role was open at the last check.
Where does the Apply button go?
Straight to ICEYE's own application page — never a middleman. Every listing here comes from the employer's own job board, so the Apply button simply opens their page in a new tab.
Does it require experience?
The employer tags this role as lead level — the requirements above spell out what that means in practice.
Is the salary listed?
No — this employer didn't publish a salary range for this role. Their own application page is the place to check for pay details.
