Job Description
About Ramp
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $200B in annualized spend flows in and out of 70,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.
We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.
The median Ramp customer saves 5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.
If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.
About the Role
As the Business Lead, you will be commercially responsible for the success of a new product at Ramp. The mandate is to do whatever it takes to grow the business. You will be expected to identify and resolve internal and external bottlenecks, often with limited guidance and support. You will set the strategy, prove out new bets, and influence how hundreds of go‑to‑market teammates sell and support the product. It’s an opportunity to run a “business within the business” at a meaningful scale while working directly with Ramp’s senior leadership.
What You'll Do
- Set the strategy: Define the target customer, value proposition, pricing, packaging, and GTM approach.
- Own the plan and results: Set goals, measure progress, and take action when the things are off track.
- Drive cross-functional execution: Align stakeholders from different teams around clear priorities and goals.
- Own feedback loops: Work with customers and turn feedback into product and go-to-market changes.
- Build for scale: Identify resource needs, create repeatable processes, and transition mature work to the appropriate long-term teams.

How to apply
The Apply button opens Ramp's own application page in a new browser tab — applying is free, and this board never sits between you and the employer: no middleman, no form of ours to fill first.
This posting runs on Ashby, the applicant tracking system behind Ramp's job board — the form you'll see lives at jobs.ashbyhq.com. It asks for the basics first: your name, email, and a résumé/CV upload. After that come the custom questions this employer wrote for the role — Ashby lets each team tailor its application, and some postings add a short questionnaire on top, so set aside a few quiet minutes rather than a thirty-second sprint. Because the questions change per role, re-read the requirements above before you start typing; answers that echo the exact skills the listing names are the ones that survive screening. Two practical notes: apply promptly while the posting is verified live, since teams close applications once a role fills, and use one email address for the application so your details stay under one identity.

Salary context
The listed range of $160k to $275k a year sits about 17% above the board-wide median for Operations roles on this board.
That median is $151,000 to $215,000 a year, based on 104 live listings where the employer publishes an annual USD range — the same rules as the board's salary report.
The parsed benefits on this listing include Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, and more — equity is among them, so total compensation can extend beyond this base range.
