Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager

ClickHouseMarketing

Job Description

ClickHouse is hiring its first Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager to own how we engage, activate, and grow our user base across the entire customer journey. Your mission is to turn signups, trial users, and prospects into pipeline and self-serve MRR through behavior-driven lifecycle programs across email and in-product channels. You will design the nurture engine that powers both our PLG and sales-led motions. You will build from the ground up, try new marketing strategies, and work with a passionate community of ClickHouse users.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Own lifecycle marketing strategy end to end, from signup onboarding through activation, conversion, expansion, and re-engagement, with accountability for trial-to-paid conversion, MQL volume, and influenced pipeline.
  • Build behavior-triggered nurture programs that respond to product usage, content engagement, and intent signals, so the right message reaches the right user at the right stage.
  • Design and optimize onboarding journeys for ClickHouse Cloud signups, partnering with Growth PMs and the product team to align email touchpoints with in-product experiences and drive activation.
  • Run always-on nurture for the sales-led funnel, with segmented streams by persona, use case, and funnel stage that warm prospects for sales and accelerate open opportunities.
  • Build and run a testing roadmap across subject lines, send cadence, content formats, and channel mix, using results to improve engagement and conversion.
  • Report on lifecycle funnel metrics for PLG and SLG, analyze conversion at each stage, identify drop-off points, and implement improvements.
  • Track industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to identify new lifecycle opportunities.

What You Bring

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in lifecycle, email, or growth marketing within the database or developer tooling space.
  • Proven track record of building lifecycle programs that measurably improved activation, conversion, and pipeline at a PLG company.
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to create engaging content for developers.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Preferred: experience at a company with an open-source product.

Perks

  • Flexible work environment - ClickHouse is a globally distributed company and remote-friendly. We currently operate in over 25 countries.

How to apply

The Apply button opens ClickHouse's own application page in a new browser tab — applying is free, and this board never sits between you and the employer: no middleman, no form of ours to fill first.

This posting runs on Ashby, the applicant tracking system behind ClickHouse's job board — the form you'll see lives at jobs.ashbyhq.com. It asks for the basics first: your name, email, and a résumé/CV upload. After that come the custom questions this employer wrote for the role — Ashby lets each team tailor its application, and some postings add a short questionnaire on top, so set aside a few quiet minutes rather than a thirty-second sprint. Because the questions change per role, re-read the requirements above before you start typing; answers that echo the exact skills the listing names are the ones that survive screening. Two practical notes: apply promptly while the posting is verified live, since teams close applications once a role fills, and use one email address for the application so your details stay under one identity.

Before you start

Tailor your résumé to the skills this listing names — employers screen for the requirements they wrote.
Have your work-authorization details ready — citizenship, visas, and right-to-work countries come up on remote applications.
Use the listed range ($144k to $195k) as your anchor in salary talk — the employer published it, so it is a fair opening number.

Salary context

The listed range of $144k to $195k a year sits roughly in line with the board-wide median for Marketing roles on this board.

That median is $145,000 to $194,500 a year, based on 35 live listings where the employer publishes an annual USD range — the same rules as the board's salary report.

The parsed benefits on this listing include Stock Options / Equity and Home Office Budget, so total compensation can extend beyond this base range.

Quick answers

Is the salary listed?
Yes — the employer publishes an annual range for this role: $144k to $195k.
